The Nordic Dance Invitational Ski Race consists of a 1k, 5k, 10k skate or 25k classic ski race for all ages and abilities, held at Lubrecht Experimental Forest in Greenough, MT! Why is it called the Nordic Dance Invitational, you ask? Junior Race Teams can compete against each other for points, and earn bonus points for choreographing a dance as a whole team or small groups. The inaugural year for the snow ski and dance festivities was Feb. 2021, and we all had a blast getting to compete, Covid style (staggered starts, small groups). This race is for all ages; all are encouraged to cheer on local junior racers as they dip their toes in ski competitions, and fun, silly dances!
